I’m Now a Townie

First, I need to apologize for not writing in so long.  Ok, “so long” is a total understatement.  I believe my last post was sometime early this past summer.  Life has been chaotic, crazy, yet wonderful these last few months.  So, I thought I would update you all on how things are going up here in God’s Country.

I started off my summer by taking some classes and making a weekend trip to Minneapolis for a yoga training.  The day that I got back to the ranch, I found out that I am pregnant!  I felt great for about two weeks, then the sickness set in.  The entire month of July was pretty horrible, but I am thankful to be feeling well now.

The beginning of August brought more meetings, more classes, and soon after the school year began.  I am still teaching middle school reading and love it (most days).  My new semester of graduate classes began on August 27th.  I am taking a full load, but will be graduating in May.  Yay!

To top everything off, John and I moved into town.  We felt with a baby on the way, it was definitely time to leave the ranch and get a place of our own.  We lucked out and were able to purchase John’s grandparents’ home.  It is a beautiful, cozy house with a new kitchen and new windows.  We are very thankful.  It is very weird living in town after spending the last three years out on the gorgeous ranch, but it is a very nice place to live.  The other community residents have been extremely welcoming.

I promise to get better at posting because I have some fun things to write about.

God Bless,
The Displaced City (Now-A-Townie) Girl
