New Favorite: Ulta

As I’ve written a gajillion (that’s a word, right?) times, it’s difficult to get any real shopping done in rural South Dakota. I cannot make a quick trip to Target or a mall when I want to browse or when I’m in actual need of something. Bismarck, ND, is ninety miles away, and Aberdeen is about 100 miles in the other direction. Because of this, I shop online.

Last week I found myself in need of mascara, and John needed face wash. lost my business last year due to a poor running website. Since then, I’ve struggled to find a good place to buy beauty essentials, until I found Ulta.

I found everything I needed plus some extras. The best thing about my shopping experience was the gift bag full of samples I received with my order. definitely won my business. If you aren’t lucky enough to live near a real Ulta, definitely check out their website.

One of the reasons I visited the Ulta website is that I saw Mario Badescu’s rose water facial spray in a magazine I’d recently read. It came highly recommended, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the reasonable price.

I’m glad I succumbed to the clever advertising because I really like the spray. It’s moisturizing, can be used for many purposes, and it smells divine.

Some most days I wish I still lived near Sioux Falls where the world is just a little more sparkly and fabulous  (absence really does make the heart grow fonder, huh?). But, because I’m now living the dream of a simple, sweet life in Small Town South Dakota, I’ll continue to use the Internet to help keep me stocked in beauty essentials.

Note: I was not compensated for this post, but if a representative from Ulta reads this I suppose it would be OK to send me some more free samples!

Happy Saturday,
The Displaced City Girl
