We are so graciously and undeservingly blessed to live in the United States of America. The freedoms that we take for granted every day were hard won, and I am forever grateful for those who served and continue to do so for our great nation.
It is after 11:00 PM. My family just got home and put down after a night at the local carnival and rodeo. It was a great night. But, as I write this, my husband and the local volunteer fire department is out on a fire call. Instead of crawling into bed after a long weekend with friends and family, or resting up for Independence Day tomorrow, these men and women are out protecting people, homes, livestock, and cropland. So, while we give thanks tomorrow for the men and women who served for the betterment of our entire country, let’s say a special thanks to those who serve and keep us safe locally.
Happy 4th of July!
