The snow has covered almost every surface in the county, except the south side of the church; the north side has feet of snow drifted, and the south side has bare grass! Crazy. Last week we had quite a bit of winter weather that resulted in two late starts and a snow day at school. Today the sun shone beautifully and the wind avoided us, at least for awhile. So, after church we took advantage and did a little sledding.
As my older son and I rode in the sled, between “yee-haws” and “more snow Dad!” we sang songs of praise for such a beautiful day. God is great! As we celebrate Advent and contemplate this time of waiting, don’t forget to celebrate what God does for us each day. We know He is coming, but doesn’t he come in many ways each day? Open your hearts; He’s there.
